Here's the response I got to the email I sent to American Airlines last night, complaining about their homophobic attitudes and informing them that I would no longer be flying on their airline:
Gee, a "higher than normal" email load? I wonder why...

Date: 2006-09-21 08:32 pm (UTC)I read the article you linked to...I am fairly sure I have kissed men on planes before and was never requested to stop doing so.
For them to try and talk their way out of this using "appropriateness" is nauseating and ludicrous.

Date: 2006-09-21 10:19 pm (UTC)Oh they must be getting complaints by the truck load at AA right now.
I flew with American Airlines once before, and was disipointed with their service. Now this is also just a strange request by the crew of the plane. Actually quite sick.
I don't believe I will fly with them anytime soon. Just sick.

Date: 2006-09-22 12:47 am (UTC)who frakking cares who's kissing who where, when or how? :/
the airline needs to grow up. or at least never show any in-flight films where people kiss. because that would be horribly inconsistent of them. ;)

Absolutely. Picking on gay people is seventh-grade behaviour.

The last flight I was on, the inflight entertainment was individual. Each seat had a screen on the back for the person sitting behind them.
I spent an hour watching the Doctor Who episode "New Earth" for the second time when I could have been watching X3 instead, which I still haven't seen (and didn't realize was available until 20 minutes before my flight was scheduled to land). And since "New Earth" starts with a kiss between Rose and Mickey, obviously it should have been banned so that I could have watched X3 instead.
Anyhow... let me know if you want to stage a kiss-in in protest. ;)
