My ears need cleaning...

There's something strangely apropos about Space running ads for Viagra and other erectile-dysfunction drugs during the broadcast of the Voyager episode "Threshold". At least, in my mind... because I keep mishearing it as "a reptile dysfunction."
Let's see... what's happened since Saturday night's update? Not much, I'm afraid. Let's see... had dinner at Toby's with
cuteteenboy Sunday night. I'm babysitting some of his belongings at the moment - one duffel bag and my backpack are in my hallway, packed full of his stuff. Good thing I don't actually need my backpack this week.
TT Programming stuff continues to come together, I think... though the more I look at the numbers, the more I'm convinced that we've created too many panels this year:
Even if we stop adding panel ideas now, we still have 14 more hours planned than we have room in the schedule. Unfortunately, we're still developing ideas with experts from the Centre Of Forensic Sciences and artist guest, Geoffrey Mandel. Time for some creative shuffling. Either that, or we have to hope that panelists don't sign up for some of them, and they get dropped. Mind you, this is probably a better problem to have than the one we had last year, where ideas were running short a few weeks prior to the deadline, and we had to scramble to get over the 200-hour threshold. (There's that word again. Reptile dysfunction.)
Pretty much everyone on my flist has been posting about Belinda Stronach's defection to the Liberal Party, so I shall forbear, except to say this: I'm a lot more confident that the government will not fall this week than I was two days ago. Maybe now they'll actually be able to get some work done instead of inflicting this circus act on us.
I've applied for three more jobs in the past 24 hours - two at CIBC and one at Sun Life. It's getting annoying that I haven't gotten any interviews recently. I know my resume is a good one - are so many mainframe developers out of work at the moment that employers are getting overwhelmed with resumes and I'm just unlucky?
