From [livejournal.com profile] aprilsnark and others, the list of metros (subways) I've ridden:

Got at b3co.com!

And from [livejournal.com profile] neoengel... more inspirational posters for your office, this time from Star Trek!

Oh, and just to add a bit of originality, and while I'm thinking about subways... something odd happened the other day at Eglinton station that I'd forgotten to post about. I was on the right hand side of the escalator, so I was riding rather than walking. The guy behind me attracted my attention and asked, "Do you play soccer?" I said no, I didn't, to which he responded, "You could. You have great legs." Hm. Maybe I should enter the Best Legs contest at Woody's on Saturday night. I could win $150.

(Note for non-Torontonians... Eglinton station is in a fairly middle-class kind of neighbourhood, and there are a number of gay people around, including others in my apartment building, but it's nowhere near the gay part of town. I don't usually expect to get hit on in this part of the city. Okay, I don't usually expect to get hit on anywhere, but I really don't expect to get hit on in the Eglinton subway station.)

Hiho,

Eglinton station is in a fairly middle-class kind of neighbourhood,

Just wanted to say: I don't think I would have ever categorized that area as "middle-class". "Middle-class" to me brings up images of picket fences and manicured lawns and 2-car garages and 2.5 kids and the family dog. You know, like Mississauga. :)

Cu,
Andrew

Well, I don't know what else to call it. We're not a slum, and we're not Forest Hill.

Yes, there are a lot of apartment buildings around here, and a few condos, and a couple of office buildings, but they tend to be clustered right around Eglinton itself. Go a couple of blocks north or a couple of blocks south, and get a block or two away from Yonge, and there are plenty of single-family houses.

Hiho,

Given the number of people who call it "Young and Eligible", I'd be tempted to call it "Metrosexual", but I don't know how some would feel about that. And "yuppie" has taken on a negative image... Hmmm... :)

Cu,
Andrew

Hm, I never thought of "metrosexual" as a class indicator, though. Anyone can be metrosexual - it just takes a little effort.
