It must be the atmospheric pressure.

Don't ask me why I've got that on... I just turned Space on out of habit after Doctor Who ended at 9, and I just heard one of the characters say that. It's such a terrible show it almost comes around the other end into "good" territory.
Almost.
I gather from snippets I've heard that it's about the adventures of two aliens travelling around the U.S., disguised as horny twentysomething men, trying to get into various women's pants. As I said, it's bad. Really, amazingly, mind-bogglingly bad. You may think it's a long way to overtake the badness that was "Bounty", but that's just peanuts to this show... I'm actually glad the computer doesn't face the TV. (Yeah, I could change the channel. But then I'd have to change it back for Angel at 1 anyway... and since I can't actually see it from here, it's no big deal. At least, until my brains start leaking out of my ears from the crap that is this show...)
I originally thought I was going to be going to
cuteteenboy's place tonight (he was going to be having a few people over to celebrate his 21st birthday, which is tomorrow - well, in six minutes it'll be today), but he's rescheduled the gathering for next week. From my perspective, this is actually good, because I've had a headache and backache since Saturday. I don't know if I'm tense about something (quite possible) or if it's just the barometric pressure and crappy weather that's making my sinuses feel like they're going to implode and my back like it's going to shatter. I can feel tension in my shoulders, too. Not good.
I might also be feeling like crap today because I woke up so late today. I don't know why - I remember waking up at one point, looking at the clock and deciding that it was too early, and I hadn't had eight hours yet, so I turned over and went back to sleep. The next time I woke up it was 3:20. That's twice in the past week that this has happened - I don't know why, because I didn't go to bed any later than usual. At least, last time I overslept I had the excuse of not having gone to bed until nearly 8:30 in the morning.
I was sitting on the couch reading the newspaper around 4:30 when Scott phoned - we had exchanged a few emails last week regarding going to see Hitchhiker's Guide together but hadn't yet set an exact date/time. We still haven't, really - it's either going to be Sunday night or next week (in between all of the other things I have scheduled for next week).
Speaking of busy schedules, I was talking with
plaidlibrarian yesterday afternoon and he pointed out that almost every weekend between now and Toronto Trek is spoken for in one way or another, plus there are some weeknight meetings scheduled in there. And I just realized I may have double-booked myself for an upcoming weekend. I've often managed to get from one event to another on the same day, but when they're in two different countries it's a little tougher. Oops. I guess I have a decision to make.
Must remember to call my mother tomorrow and make sure that the cheques for my two aunts and three cousins have been sent off/delivered... I guess the headache/backache will be around for at least one more day.

Date: 2005-05-03 09:29 pm (UTC)A) Take up your time
B) Get you on a regular sleep schedule
C) Exercise you enough to keep these aches from happening
D) Distract you from your mother
With that said, I am gonna see Hitchhiker tomorrow with a friend. I'll gush about how good it is when I get back!
