Tonight's scores: 152, 193, 163. Acceptable, though I was ticked at myself for missing some easy spares in the first and third games.
h8torun just rolled her eyes and said, "I know you're going to go home and bitch on your LJ about missing those spares," so there you go. :P
As for everything else... that problem I was having last week at work embedding checkboxes in a tabbed control? It turned out that for some reason, there's no way to do what I was trying to do as when the form is posted back, the values of the "checked" properties of the checkboxes seems to be lost. At least, Zak told me that he'd struggled with the same problem for quite some time a few months ago before giving up, and after spending four days on the problem and making no progress I felt that was quite enough. So I tore the whole thing up and implemented it as two separate tables rather than using tabs. Today was "fun with SQL" day... I spent six hours trying to figure out how to modify a stored procedure only to realize that the way the tables are constructed is completely backwards from what I want to do. So again, I'm going to have to tear the whole thing apart and rework it.
Everything else is going about as well. I really feel like going out and getting falling-down, shitfaced drunk right now... except that I have a meeting at 2 tomorrow. Plus there's a -14 windchill out there, and by the time I got downtown it would be nearly 1 anyway, which means the odds of getting falling-down, shitfaced drunk over a period of slightly less than two hours are pretty damn poor.

You'll be pleased to know that I braved the elements and went out to get falling-down shitfaced drunk anyway. ;)
It's not so much the temperature, it's the fluctuation. It's been +5 or so one day (in fact, I think it was around 10C a couple of weeks ago) and -5 the next. And I think that despite the Weather Network's and CP24's readings, it's about five degrees colder in Aurora on any given day. (It doesn't help that there are no tall buildings to block the wind.)
In other words, the temperature's been up and down like my ex-husband on a twenty-dollar hustler's ass. ;)

Date: 2007-12-02 12:00 am (UTC)I think you can set it by individual post as well, but I figured that if I should ever post anything that could get me into legal hot water (like the Jiri Tlusty stuff a couple of weeks ago), I might well forget to mark the post. So I just set my entire LJ to "adult" - that way nobody under 16 (I think) can see something they shouldn't.
I thought it would be a good idea given the comment I received from a few weeks ago from someone at Crime Stoppers saying that they were doing a demo for some high school students and found an unlocked post of mine.
