It's a sure sign of the apocalypse...

The Stanley Cup finals: Ottawa Senators vs. Anaheim Mighty Ducks. (Yes, I know they dropped the "Mighty" a few years ago. I don't care - the team was named after the movie, I'm going to keep reminding them of it.)
It's not right to hope for the return of the 1919 influenza epidemic, but surely something can happen to prevent the Cup from being awarded this year...
And if that weren't bad enough, tonight's Boston Legal episode didn't air. CH was showing NCIS instead, and I have no idea what ABC was showing.

Date: 2007-05-25 02:26 am (UTC)Argh. I wish that Global and Fox would have at least updated their websites - both listed the House finale, just as CH's and ABC's websites both listed the Boston Legal finale.

Indeed. And today's Globe and Mail was still talking about NBC's decision to switch over to the Preakness. It was compared to that football game from some years back (I think it was an NFL game, but don't quote me) where the network switched over to some mundane show right on the hour despite the game going into overtime.

Date: 2007-05-24 04:28 am (UTC)Technically I predicted the sabers and ducks for the final, but seeing as someone decided to have all the ottawa and buffalo players swap bodies for this post season, my prediction still holds true. Of course, I'm rooting for the ducks because a) they're not the sens, and b) I picked them to win in the hockey pool for my dad's office. ^_^

Well, if you're making money off the Ducks, I won't hold it against you. ;) I made some money off the Flames back in '86 when they won the Cup, after all... and everyone thought I was crazy for picking Joel Otto, John Tonelli and Joe Mullen - and they got 50 points between them even though the Flames lost in the finals. Mats Naslund didn't do too badly for me either, with 19 points. ;)
