New Jersey just tied the game 2-2 with 0.9 seconds left in the third period. They're going to overtime.
GO DEVILS!!!!!

Date: 2007-04-09 03:17 am (UTC)OTOH, for some strange reason I wouldn't mind seeing Nashville do well. I know it's a weird place for a hockey team, but they do have Paul Kariya and Steve Sullivan. (Until a few minutes ago, when I was looking at their website, I had no idea Kariya was 32 years old. Good lord, where have the years gone...)

I have personal ties to the city of Atlanta (visit HotHouse's website and see Ryan Lexington) plus ties to the Thrashers. My sister's husband knows Bob Hartley and he always gives them passes to get back when they come to Philly.
Plus the Thrashers are playing the stinkin Rangers and the games are airing on TSN so more Keith Jones.

Date: 2007-04-12 01:37 am (UTC)I know. I realize that the game meant nothing to New Jersey, and Clemmenson didn't play badly, but still... part of me thinks that Lamoriello was thinking of the possibility of a NJ/NYI playoff round, and the hype that would come of it. Of course, Buffalo will take care of the Islanders in fairly short order, I would think.

Hmmm. It's tempting - the Thrashers have some good players on their roster. And I think they have a good shot at knocking off the Rangers.

Cool. :) I've been to Atlanta twice, for Dragon*Con, and had a great time both times. I hope to make it again this year, and I'm also planning on going to Gaylaxicon there in October.

And this is a good thing?! (Frankly, even if Cole and Neale are calling the game, I prefer CBC's coverage.)
