Flight #1 booked...
May. 6th, 2008 11:14 pmI finally got around to booking my flight to Winnipeg for Keycon - I expect to get searched again, since I'm leaving in nine days. Oops. (Or maybe not, since I'm not travelling to the U.S.)
Travelocity quoted me a price of $492 - on Westjet's site, it was only $465. Guess which one I chose. (Odd, since Westjet and Air Canada were the only two options listed on Travelocity.)
Now I need to figure out:
I also need to get Polaris flyers and Constellations ballots, but those are easier.
Last time I flew to a con, I swore that I would get a new suitcase before the next one, since the wheels on my current one are worse than useless and it doesn't have a telescoping handle (it's about 20 years old, before the current design was around). Naturally, I haven't done that yet, and I wanted to spend the four free hours I have this weekend getting my hair cut (which entails an hour's travel each way, since I go to Yorkdale) and doing laundry. Meep. Fortunately there's a luggage store under the mall that's five minutes from my apartment, though last time I walked past there I didn't see anything of the sort that I liked. (Maybe I should kill two birds with one stone and get it when I'm up at Yorkdale.)
So that's one flight booked... I still need to book Washington and Atlanta. Plus I have hotel rooms to book.

Now I need to figure out:
- whether there's been a hotel room booked in my name for me (probably not, but I want to check)
- how I'm going to get assorted Anticipation paraphernalia, since Terry is in Montreal at the moment
- where the nearest sources of alcohol and foodstuffs are, since I've been asked (and offered donations) to throw a room party - hey,
frstythesnowman, are you going to be busy? ;)
