Just enough time for a quickie.
Jan. 20th, 2006 01:46 amGot up at 9 this morning (on about 3.5 hours of sleep) and made my way over to the ultrasound clinic. It didn't take me nearly as long to get there as I had feared; I left my apartment around 9:30, and arrived there around 10:00 for my 10:30 appointment. So I sat and read (I'm nearing the end of Jim Gardner's Radiant). I was called in at 10:30, the technician smeared blue goop all over my arm and took a bunch of funky pictures, then he handed me a wad of paper towels and told me I could go. I think I was in there for ten minutes, tops.
When I got home, I called the sports medicine clinic to find out whether I should make an appointment to review the results. They told me that they would call me when they come in if there's anything the doctor needs to see me about. So if I don't hear anything by Tuesday, there's nothing wrong. (The results should be back by Monday, the tech said, but I always assume things will take longer.)
The purple is gone now, but there's still some yellowish tinge to my skin around my elbow.
Later,
cuteteenboy called this evening to go over some updates to the Gaylaxicon website; they should be up this weekend, and include info on the Beefcake/Cheesecake and forms for people to sign up as panelists. (I know, a lot of you are wondering, "What's a Beefcake/Cheesecake?" All I can say is, when the website updates are done, I'll post, and you can go and read the site.)
So here it is, not even two yet, and I'm thinking about going to bed. I must be getting old.
However, I'm not going to bed until after Space's broadcast of "In A Mirror Darkly, Part One" is over, in about ten minutes. How I love this episode.
Oooo. The Defiant just powered up. Listen to those TOS sound effects.
