lance_sibley: (All The Best Cowboys Have Daddy Issues)
I just noticed that all of the links on my LJ seemed to have reset themselves so that they appeared to be unread - then I noticed that the URL from the site had changed from www.livejournal.com/boywhocantsayno to boywhocantsayno.livejournal.com. I guess they've reorganized the site structure or something to make LJs subdomains rather than subdirectories.

Anyway... I met [livejournal.com profile] cuteteenboy at the subway at 5 so that he could make a run through Toys "R" Us and BMV before going to the bowling alley. We still got there around the time I normally try to arrive, so we sat in the food court and had McDonald's before going downstairs. I had the smallest McChicken sandwich in the history of McChicken sandwiches. I remember when you used to have to use both hands, otherwise you'd lose all the lettuce. Now... not so much.

We headed downstairs around 5:40. Not much to report on the bowling front, except that I didn't bowl (I have my ultrasound in six and a half hours, after all), but we still managed to win two of the three games. Unfortunately, we only won by 29 and 5, and we lost the other game by well over 100, so we only took two out of four points. We were bowling against a team that has two guys who refuse to speak to me (long story [*]), but I'm used to that by now. I didn't wander much (except to tell John during the break that I still haven't heard back from Drew, and once to say hi to Troy) but when I did, [livejournal.com profile] cuteteenboy was following me everywhere. He said it was because he doesn't know anyone (though he and Mario seemed to be getting along fine), but I think he was secretly amused by the idea that a few people are now under the mistaken impression that he's my boyfriend. (When I told him that I'd been asked this a few times, he said, "I could do worse." Awwwwww.)

[*] The long story is here, if anyone cares... )

Anyway, I should get to bed now, since I have to get up in about four hours to make sure that I'm at the clinic by 10:15 or so. I'm not even sure where it is, exactly, so a lookup on Mapquest and the TTC website would seem to be in order.

Oh, but before I do, something interesting that I read this evening... Stephen Harper's latest salvo, that we shouldn't be afraid of a Conservative majority because there's a Liberal Senate and Supreme Court that will rein him in, is very telling in that it implies that he's planning something if he wins the election that he knows won't fly with either of them. Whether it's the repeal of same-sex marriage, or the GST cut, or the child care plan... whatever it is, he seems to think that he won't be able to get it passed or that it will be struck down. Interesting...

Oh, and I need some text for this image. Anyone have any ideas?
