lance_sibley: (drama queen)
I feel like I'm not getting anything accomplished that I need to do. The emails from Workopolis with possible job matches are piling up, the videotapes that I meant to donate to Casey House months ago are still on the dining room table, the floor is still unswept... and yet, for some reason, I'm finding it increasingly difficult to muster up the wherewithal to care.

Overslept today (even by my standards) - probably because I was at the computer until something like quarter to seven this morning. I wasn't really doing anything - I could have gone to bed around 3:30 - but I just couldn't find the strength to get up and go to bed. I remember a while back, [livejournal.com profile] dx4 suggested that I need someone to motivate me to come to bed. Whatever. Anyway, I woke up in the middle of a dream. I hate that, because I usually spend most of the day feeling groggy.

Despite that, I had a good night at bowling tonight - my team was one short, as nobody was able to reach [livejournal.com profile] cuteteenboy to let him know that we needed him again as Randy's still sore from his accident a couple of weeks ago. (If you see this, Darian - emails to you are still bouncing.) We still somehow managed to win one out of the three games - by one pin, 1045 to 1044, IIRC. I had a good night, as mentioned - 162, 202, and 159, and got my average back up most of the way to where it should be. (The second game could have been even better - I started with five strikes in the first six frames.) My elbow isn't even sore right now, which is a good thing. (Weird thing is, for the past couple of weeks it's been sore throughout the week, as opposed to just on Thursday.) All indications are that Randy should be back next week, so our team will be back to full strength unless he has another accident. Now, if Mario and I can just get in synch, we'd be getting three out of four points every week. Seems like whenever he has a bad night, I have a good one, and vice-versa.

One of my buttons got pushed earlier tonight - I was eating my customary personal pan pizza at the bowling alley, when someone wandered by and asked "eating dinner?" (This happens so often that I sometimes feel like responding, "No, I'm panning for gold - what does it look like?") I actually replied, "Technically, it's breakfast." [livejournal.com profile] h8torun explained that I keep different hours from most people, and this person looked at me like she'd just been told that I keep aborted kitten fetuses under my floorboards. For all this woman knows, I could be a factory worker, or a bus driver, or any number of different things that require me to keep odd hours. What business is it of anyone else's whether I go to bed at 9PM, midnight, 3AM, 6AM or noon? Sure, when I become employed or go back to school (still deciding about the latter), I'll have to keep normal hours - or as close to them as I can get - but right now, I have no particular reason to do so.

This Special K commercial Space is airing, using a Rick Astley song for its soundtrack, is going to drive me to put an icepick through my TV real soon now.

Gakked from [livejournal.com profile] assetic, and made here:

Me! (Kinda.)

Like the slippers? (I actually own a pair of fuzzy shark slippers, but that wasn't an option, so I had to settle for the seal slippers. And I was tempted to leave my little avatar in heart boxers, of which I also own a pair, but thought that I didn't want you all retching. :) )

... you're watching the St. Louis Cardinals/Houston Astros game, and Mark Mulder is pitching for St. Louis, and you think, "It's too bad Vin Scully doesn't do the play-by-play anymore."

I don't know what the hell is wrong with Yahoo tonight. I can't seem to get into my Inbox; it keeps timing out on me.
