Yup. No midterm tonight. It's been put off until next week, after we get through the entire Javascript section of the text.

The instructor admitted tonight that it's his fault, though, that we're behind where the course outline had us by this point. Personally, I figure it's because he had us spend one entire class working on a very simple lab exercise, with no lecture that night.

And to think I read 200 pages this past weekend... argh. I could have watched some of my video backlog... or the episodes of Torchwood that I've been downloading but haven't made time to watch yet.

Tonight we covered objects and the methods that go with some of the built-in objects (like strings, windows, dates and numbers). Wednesday we're supposed to learn about cookies, and then the midterm will be next week.

When I got home tonight, I watched the Doctor Who episode I had taped this evening, "Rise Of The Cyberman". Was it just me, or was that villain a little over-the-top? I kept expecting him to twirl his non-existent moustache and tell Rose that she must pay the rent. (Oh, and note to the director: there's not much point in constantly backlighting the Cybermen or only showing their feet as they march in unison in order to build up suspense for the big reveal. The title of the episode kind of gave away the punchline.) Interesting that Torchwood exists in the parallel universe, though...

Of course I'm awake - it's only 3:30 in the morning. ;)

Though it took me a couple of hours to get back to checking my email, which is why I only just saw this.

Apparently there's a problem with my MSN password. I only use it once in a blue moon - usually for online Toronto Trek-related meetings - so I don't know what's going on. I'm trying to reset it.

Could be, but one would think that the BBC would understand drama better than the average American network executive. ;)

It was a blink-and-you'll-miss-it moment. Someone (the President, perhaps?) ended a conversation in the foreground, pulled out their cellphone, dialled and said, "So how are things over at Torchwood?" as he walked out of frame.
