No, but if a bus can get trapped on ice, imagine how much easier it would be for a car to get stuck.
And it could have been much, much worse - a few stops south of there, and we really would have been in the middle of nowhere, as there are long stretches with no stops between Richmond Hill and Aurora. (I think it's technically the town of Oak Ridges, but it's even less built-up than Aurora is.)
