I've been a huge Rufus fan since I saw him on that Gap commercial in 1998. I'm totally on board with all his stuff, and he's one of the few artists who's albums I consistently purchase... but "Release The Stars" really didn't thrill me. I've listened to it straight through about four or five times now and none of the songs really stand out.
They're all good but it's just kind of... I don't know... "same-ish."
