I had a fairly decent night tonight at the bowling alley: 184, 182, 147. That third game was on a 175-180 pace until the 7th frame, however, when they called the break (yeah, we were almost done; only Randy, Ralph and I on my team, and two people on the other team showed up tonight), and after the break, I proceeded to miss three easy spares to finish the game. Argh.

I had thought that my legs might give me more trouble tonight. We had our first real snowfall of the year this week, so I'd switched to my boots, and it always takes me a week or so to get used to the extra weight. However, my legs aren't in any more pain than they usually are, which is to say that they're a little tired.

Work has been busy. Because of the aforementioned snowfall, my boss had called me yesterday to suggest that I work from home, which I did. My remote connection wasn't all that stable for the latter part of the day, though, and I kept having to shut down and restart my session. I managed to get a fair bit done on my current task, however, and got a fair bit done today as well. There's just one bothersome issue that's going to have to wait until Monday, unless one of you reading this has any brilliant ideas...

In other work news, I overheard my boss talking about looking at other possible locations for our office. I overheard him talking about it again today to someone - so that's twice he's talked about it with people outside the company before discussing it with those of us who actually work for him. Today I called him on it and asked him where this mystery place is. It turns out it would be one less bus stop, but a longer walk from the bus stop (he said it was about a ten minute walk from Yonge and Allaura). We'll see. (And I thought I had a hard time finding places to eat lunch now... all I know of that's down at Allaura is a McDonald's and a Harvey's/Swiss Chalet.)

There's no new Trek movie news that I know of, but here's a little something for those of you who always wondered just how James Kirk beat the Kobayashi Maru test:
