Trek casting news.
Sep. 19th, 2007 12:13 amTrektoday.com and Trekmovie.com are both reporting that Zoe Saldana has been cast as Uhura in the upcoming Star Trek movie. Full story here.
Interesting choice. She does look a bit like a young Nichelle Nichols. I don't know anything about her acting skills, though she's been pretty busy over the last six or seven years. Her IMDb profile includes a couple of episodes of Six Degrees, episodes of Law & Order and L&O: SVU, Drumline, The Terminal (of which there's a clip on the Trekmovie site) and Pirates Of The Caribbean: The Curse Of The Black Pearl.
