I haven't struggled at the bowling alley like I did tonight in quite some time. We went into tonight in first place in the playoffs - the top 7 advancing to the final - and I just didn't feel right when I got there tonight. I arrived around 6:45, rushed to get changed, and got to the lane with just enough time for two practice frames, neither of which was very good. The trend continued.
My scores don't sound nearly as bad as they were - I had 148, 145 and 149 - but considering that in the first game, I had 53 in the fifth frame and needed to bowl at a 190 pace just to get to where I did was indicative of the entire night. Mario also struggled - in the second game, I think it took him five or six frames to get his first mark. He managed a 194 in the third game, however. And
h8torun had two good games, and Randy had one or two good games, and Bridgette was around her average. The upshot was that we slipped to fifth, so we don't get any trophies for our session bowling, but we have a shot at the league championship a week from Sunday. Problem is that I have no idea what time we start... I'll have to call Mario and ask.
