Sometimes I wonder...
Aug. 2nd, 2005 04:10 am... if I'm watching the same QAF episodes as the folks at
queerasfolkfans.
Apart from the fact that the Americans are a week ahead of us, that is.
I went back and read the comments that were made last week on the episode that aired tonight and... wow. I know Brian's sudden character shift would cause whiplash, but I wasn't prepared for the outright hatred for the twist the storyline has taken...
( Spoilers )
I'm just a little down that there are only two episodes left in the series... though I'm not sure what I'll miss more: the show itself, or the random bumping-into-cast-members-on-the-street. (Haven't had one of those in a while, though I did see Tim Post, who played Peter in "Mambo Italiano", on the patio of a bar at Church and Maitland on Saturday night...) Mind you, since they wrapped filming on the entire series months ago I guess there was very little chance of another one of those anyway.
I'll have to start reading fanfic to get my fix, but I'm almost afraid to because there's a lot of crap out there. For those of you who read fanfic, in various fandoms: how do you handle pairings other than your favourite? Do you just ignore it, or do you still read it? I don't think I could read fanfic in which Justin stayed in Hollywood and Brian hooked up with Michael... and yes, it exists. Ick. That's like Luke and Leia sleeping together even after they found out they were brother and sister. There are some places you just. don't. go.
