HULK SMASH!
Apr. 29th, 2005 08:15 pmWhoever the brain-trust is at CITY-TV who decided to pre-empt part two of "In A Mirror, Darkly" in favour of "Spider-Man" is in dire need of a sacking.
I actually called and registered a complaint. Their receptionist was still there, answering the phones, and transferred me to Programming, where I had to leave a voicemail. Makes me wonder how many complaints they've gotten today, if their receptionist was still answering the phone at quarter to eight on a Friday night.
On the positive side (this is positive?!) I went with my mother to the lawyer and the accountant today. Cheques are written to the other beneficiaries, the lawyer is paid, the 2004 income taxes are paid, and the accountant who prepared the taxes is paid. (Taxes: $400. Accountant fees: $312. WTF? I could have done them myself, except my mother is always insisting that everything be "done correctly." I've been doing my own taxes for years, and they've always been "done correctly." *facepalm*) All that remains is to get the condo appraised.
