I feel like I've gotten a lot done today, though checking my Sent folder reveals that I've only sent 20 emails so far today. It feels like a lot more. Maybe the illusion is because I spent some time on the phone today on TT and Gaylaxicon business as well.

Or maybe digestion is still making me feel groggy... I finished off the leftover Beef Taco Hamburger Helper for dinner. Too many carbs, I guess...

Hey, we got our first pre-regges in the mail today from a couple of people who picked up flyers at Ad Astra! And here I was worried that our presence there was being ignored. Admittedly, it would have been a shock if these two hadn't pre-regged...

I just got a phone call from twiddler about a possible lead on a contract... *crosses fingers*

lizblackdog has posted a link in her LJ to Trek Passions, a singles site for science fiction fans. It's tempting... I did a quick search and found someone in NYC who sounds like he'd be a good match. On the downside, he's in NYC...

Namesakes of the U.S. President and two of his key people might be crawling around your back yard as you read this. Three new beetles of the genus Agathidium have been named after members of the current administration: A. bushi, A. cheneyi and A. rumsfeldi.

Two former Cornell University entomologists, Quentin Wheeler and Kelly Miller, were in charge of naming 65 new species of slime-mold beetles, which they discovered while studying the insects' evolution and classification.
