Today started off slowly; despite having gone to bed an hour or so earlier last night than previous nights, I slept an hour later than normal and woke up around 2:15. I have a few things on my To Do list that didn't get done as a result.

The bowling league resumed tonight, after a one-week Easter hiatus. My first game was excellent - 190 - and then in the second I couldn't get a spare with a gun to my head. I had 82 in the fifth, and finished with 127. Ick. Back to average in the third, with 160. There's nothing like consistency - and that was nothing like consistency.

I found out tonight that my teammates have decided they don't want me back for next year. They haven't actually told me this yet - I just happened to see Greg's registration form as he was filling it out, and under "team roster" there were five names - none of which was mine. I'm mildly amused by the fact that they haven't had the decency to tell me yet. I wonder how long it will take them to get around to "breaking the news" to me. I briefly spoke to the incoming league statistician, who is responsible for making up the teams every year, as there's one team in particular I want to make sure I'm not placed on. He said he'd make sure I'm taken care of.

I've been watching episode 2 of "Invasion Iowa" - the scene of Shatner with his "sensitive", his lifestyle guru, yelling "If you get in my way I will smite you! Smite you!" reminded me of Goji from TrekBBS...

I'm really liking Max, the "studio exec." Especially when she was standing out in the middle of the farm demanding that something be done about the smell of the cow manure. The speakerphone conversation with the voice actor pretending to be Sean "call me Sir Sean" Connery was also quite funny. I particularly liked the way the product placement guy piped up with "I suggest you buy your airplane ticket on Priceline.com," completely unprompted. He's really gotten into his "role". They almost got caught tonight, but they wrote the suspicious guy out of the "movie".
