So the best of intentions really aren't sufficient; despite the exhausting weekend, and getting 12 hours of sleep Sunday night, I somehow managed to sleep until 2 this afternoon. My body isn't co-operating with the effort to switch my body clock back to "normal" hours. Of course, spending all of last night in front of the computer probably wasn't the best idea, either. :(

Whatever problem my stereo experienced yesterday appears to have repaired itself. I have no idea what happened, but it worked fine when I got out of the shower today. *hums "Electric Barbarella"*

While I was drying my hair the phone rang, and it was the lady I spoke to on Monday at Sun Life regarding the stray T4A form showing that I had withdrawn money from my pension and which I had no memory of. She confirmed that it was a cash withdrawal (so it must have been unvested money, or I had neglected to file the paperwork in time to have them transfer it to my RRSP), and the cheque was cashed. So I went through my files again and lo and behold, there was a bank statement from July 2003 showing a deposit of the correct amount. The form from Sun Life was dated April 2003, so I had only checked the April, May and June statements the other night, figuring that I would certainly have deposited $6300 as soon as I received it. Guess not. (It also didn't help that I had inadvertantly mixed up the statements for my two bank accounts, and the statement that showed the deposit into my savings accoung was filed with the statements for the joint chequing account I have with Mike - long story, but it relates to the $20K bank loan I co-signed for him five years ago.) So that's one mystery solved. Now I just have to figure out why I have a T4A dated 2003 (no exact date) showing that I received $17,300 from CDS despite the fact that when I was outsourced in 2002, I took my severance as a lump sum and put it all into my RRSP... and that, I have evidence of in the form of TD Waterhouse statements and deposit receipts.

I discovered last night that Angel S5 had come out on DVD, and last week, while straightening up I had found a $25 gift card from Future Shop that I'd been looking for for months, so I went out this afternoon and got it. Also picked up Quantum Leap S2, having completely forgotten that I had bought it already. So I schlepped back up and returned it 20 minutes after I bought it. I'm such a moron sometimes... maybe I should print a list of my DVD collection and take it with me when I go shopping so that I don't buy things I already have.

As a result, I didn't really get to do much this afternoon before I had to get ready to go to bowling; I read the paper quickly (I'm not really that interested in story after story about Dalton McGuinty trying to wring money out of the federal government because they gave some to Newfoundland and Nova Scotia, but that seems to be all that's in the paper this week), and went to bowling, completely forgetting to pack the leather pants that Greg wants to borrow (fortunately, next week isn't too late to bring them). A number of people I normally chat with were absent tonight, because a group went to Cuba this week on vacation (including the one I bumped into Saturday night at Pegasus who seemed a little taken with [livejournal.com profile] cuteteenboy).

Oh, and [livejournal.com profile] evil_admiral: FYI, Greg got me again tonight. I couldn't react for a few seconds because I was taking a sip of beer at the time. Fortunately we were at the far end tonight so not too many people saw what happened... I'm starting to wonder if you're right. I was explaining to someone afterwards that I wear sweat pants because I was tired of tearing the crotches out of my jeans. She said, "Try wearing looser jeans," to which I replied, "But loose jeans don't show off my ass." At that point, Greg said, "Oh, and those do?" Hmmm...

Oh... scores? 168, 168, 155. No, I'm not stuttering, I really scored 168 in each of the first two games. Not bad considering we were against the wall, so whenever I left anything on the right hand side on my first ball (and I left a lot of 3-10 and 6-10 combinations tonight), and was bowling on lane 31, I had almost no shot at the spare. I'm not complaining, though, as my average for the night was 163.66; considering that my season average was 163.2 going into this evening, that's acceptable. Would have been better if I hadn't gotten a 6-7-10 in the ninth frame of the third game... almost spared it, too. An inch to the left...

We took all three games tonight, anyway. And I didn't have to wait for Peeter, nor did I feel guilty for making him wait, because he was on the opposing team. Getting my ride to the subway is much easier when we finish at the same time. :)

I wish my legs weren't so sore right now, though. My hip was killing me all night (I'm walking like a 70-year-old right now) and my left shin is sore (well, technically not the shin; it's the muscle that runs down the outside of my leg). I think I strained something running back and forth between the front of the hotel and the meeting room last Sunday when I walked [livejournal.com profile] cuteteenboy to the bus stop. Either that, or switching back and forth between my boots and my shoes is causing me to strain my legs when walking. Ow.
