That's a good point about him choking Dempsey - regardless of what Washington said, that should have been grounds right there for an immediate firing.
As for Chris Potter, unfortunately if I remember correctly it wasn't only that his child was being verbally picked on but physically assaulted and threatened. In the end, Potter had security watching his family. Some people really suck.
They do indeed. :( I don't recall the issue of his child being assaulted or threatened, but it wouldn't surprise me - kids are cruel. (I would hope that it wasn't adults doing the threatening.)
Strangely, though, back when I was trying to put together a QAF con, the production office specifically told me not to invite him. Reading Cowen and Lipman's comments makes me think that perhaps the threats against his family were causing Potter to grow more and more uncomfortable where he wasn't initially, and perhaps he verbalized his discomfort, leading to the rest of the cast "snubbing" him, as they put it in the Yahoo article?
