And if you're getting that plastered from a WORK party...well, you need to re-evaluate where you work.
It's not that uncommon. A few years ago we had a party where I worked at the time. The departmental VP bought several cases of beer, and we all went down to the lunchroom for a couple of hours after we were done for the day. Then, one of my co-workers and I decided to keep on drinking after the party was over, at a nearby bar. It's amazing I made it home without being hit by a bus.
(It was an interesting evening, to say the least - my co-worker came out to me as bi that night, and lamented the fact that his girlfriend wouldn't understand if he were to bring me home, as much as he wanted to.)
