Tonight, in C# class, we got our marks for our first assignment and midterm. I managed a 9 out of 10 on the assignment (I don't know where I lost the mark - he said he'd give out individual notes) and 100% on the midterm. Go me! *grin*
Also, I got a phone call and an email this morning from a recruiter in London (Ontario, not England ;) ) looking for someone to take on a two-month contract at Manulife in Waterloo. Problem is, I don't drive, and as much as I liked living in K-W way back when, I don't see moving back to K-W as being practical for a two-month contract. Even though it starts in January, I'm planning on taking the next courses in the .NET certificate program then.
I also fired off applications to the job listings that I'd saved from last week - six in all, I think it was, including the one that was looking for both COBOL and C#. (No, I don't think I'm an expert just because I have a mark of 95% in the class so far. But it can't hurt if he calls me and I can tell him that. :) )
I still haven't watched tonight's episode of House, which I taped. No Boston Legal tonight - boo! Though I did watch the premiere of Shatner's game show, Show Me The Money. I'm not sure what to think of Shatner's comment to the obviously-gay contestant when he got a question about which country was the first in the world to allow legal same-sex marriages: "If you don't get this, there is no heaven." Huh? Oh, and note to the United States military: stop letting people go on game shows in uniform. When they lose badly, they look like idiots. Especially when they fail to answer questions about political incidents that took place less than ten years ago, or when they can't name fairly well-known entertainment figures (Paula Abdul is not a comedian).
