I still don't get why Quinn is the highest paid coach in the NHL. The Leafs aren't even in play off standing right now.
When he signed the contract, he was worth it. I'm not so sure now.
Fortunately, they have Paul Maurice coaching the Marlies at the moment. Hopefully Quinn is hearing footsteps.
That being said, I'm still not sure that Quinn is the problem. The problems are that Ed Belfour is past it (unlike many players, the year off seems to have caused him more harm than good), Aki Berg has never seen an opposing player he didn't want to pass the puck to, and the team's medical staff thought it was a better idea not to surgically repair Eric Lindros' wrist 30 games ago, when it could have been healed in time for the playoff run.
Oh well, luckily I'm a Canadiens fan.
You know they traded Theodore to Colorado today for David Aebischer?
Personally, I don't think they needed another #1 goalie. Huet has been doing just fine (despite last night's Toronto game, but three games in four nights will tire any goalie). Unless they're worried that he's just a flash in the pan?
