Are you ready to listen attentively, Cleveland???

Amusement of the day: thanks go to [livejournal.com profile] mencc1701, who posted this link over at TrekBBS:

Glarkware - Classic Metal Thingees:

Apparently they come as either buttons or magnets.

I actually had that Mozart design on a t-shirt. We sold them in the music store I managed around 93 or 94.

Really? Wow, I didn't realize they'd been around that long. With my predilection for wearing silly t-shirts, I likely would have gotten one if I had seen them before.

Then again, I don't tend to spend a lot of time shopping for music, and when I do I tend to go into places like Future Shop rather than actual music stores. So it's possible that I just hadn't seen them because I don't shop in the right places.

Yeah, they've been around a long time. I haven't seen them in a good ten years, though. The company that used to sell them went out of business in 95 or around there. A new company may have bought the designs or something like that.

Yeah, Glarkware sells that Mozart design on a t-shirt, as well.

Silly question time - which band's logo is being spoofed in that one? Metallica?

Those are awesome. I love Glarkware (as proven by the fact that they sell this shirt).

I love it!

Wow. This should be interesting...

I'm surprised Don Cherry's reaction was so mild - I half expected that he would work the word "pansy" into his comments.

Though I suspect that the character of the 11-year-old will be more controversial than the notion of a gay hockey player.

I also wonder whether Mats Sundin is covering for someone or if he really doesn't know of any gay hockey players. After all, there have got to be a couple, just speaking statistically. (Has Sidney Crosby got a girlfriend? ;) ) I guess he's forgetting Mike Danton, though the jury still seems to be out on whether he's actually gay or if he was just abused by his agent. (I found this (http://www.pansexualsodomite.org/archives/sodomitical_polity/mike_danton_tried_to_murd.php#comment-3608) website on which someone named Dani says that she's been married to an NHL player for 10 years and she knows three closeted gay NHL players.)
