All my bags are packed, I'm ready to go...

My bus ticket is purchased, leaving Toronto at 12:30pm tomorrow and arriving in Ann Arbor at 7:05pm. Apparently the return portion is good for a year, but I only packed enough clothes to last until Monday (and I have to pay my rent on Tuesday anyway).

US cash has been procured.

My suitcase and backpack are packed, except for the toiletries I will need in the morning. I've even packed extra batteries for the Discman (yes, I know, I'm hopelessly out of date) so that I can listen to music on the bus.

Is it wrong for me to be nervous about this trip? I mean, I'm sure it will go swimmingly. But that doesn't help.

In other news, I joined [livejournal.com profile] aprilsnark, [livejournal.com profile] chanilye, [livejournal.com profile] scapersuse and [livejournal.com profile] garuto at the Granite this evening for dinner with David, an Australian friend of [livejournal.com profile] aprilsnark's. It was quite an enjoyable evening. Note to self: do not try to pick a kiwi-filled chocolate out of the box with only my fingernails. I'm not that dextrous.

Now, I just hope I manage to get to sleep at a decent hour so that I can make it to the bus terminal in plenty of time.

Edited to add: all you people who are talking about Lance Bass coming out of the closet, could you please use his last name? I'm getting confused seeing posts about "Lance came out of the closet!!!" Dang it, I came out 20 years ago... :P

Thanks - on both counts. :)

I think I've seen all of two people using Discmans since iPods first became common. I feel like some kind of caveman whenever I pull mine out to change the disc.

I use a disc-based MP3 player... kinda nice, I think, 'cause it also plays CDs. ;)

I still kind of hate myself for giving in to iPod culture, but the MP3 player I was fond of, broke after about a year and it got to the point where I figured: Why spend 100$ a year for a low storage MP3 player when you can just plunk down 279$ (CAD) and have it last for four years or more.

I have the 4GB nano. It has served me well thus far - but the damn thing picks up scratches like you wouldn't believe. By the time I got a case for it, it was too late. :/
